Thursday night in Storrs.
The Huskies defeated the Lady Flames 6-1 to move to 6-0 in conference play and 13-3 overall. They also earned a share of the BIG EAST regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament (Nov. 2,4).
As for the Lady Flames, they drop to 5-1 in the conference and 10-5 overall. However, they can still earn a share of the BIG EAST regular season title. That will be decided at their final regular season conference game versus Providence and if UConn ends up losing to Georgetown. Both games will occur on October 26.
Liberty scored only one goal in the entire game. That goal was tallied by Agueda Moroni, and it was the 50th goal of her playing career. UConn was on a roll, as six players scored goals to clinch the victory. The Huskies were led by junior forward Svea Boker who shot the ball six times and scored one of the UConn goals. Fifth year defender and 2016 Olympic Bronze medalist Cecile Pieper led the team in assists.

Next Game: The Lady Flames will return home to play their final home game of the season against No. 11 Boston College on Sunday at noon. This game will also be Senior Day.
