Liberty Women’s Basketball Tipoff Season at Bethune-Cookman


The Liberty women’s basketball season begins on Friday as the Lady Flames will travel to play Bethune-Cookman.

The game will take place at 7 p.m. at Moore Gymnasium in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Team Notes

Liberty
  • The Lady Flames are in their first year in the ASUN conference and were picked to finish second in the league.
  • Senior KK Barbour was named to the ASUN Preseason all-conference Team.
  • Liberty will be without junior standout Keyen Green as she is recovering from ankle surgery.
  • This will be the first out of six schools in Florida the Lady Flames will play this season.
Bethune-Cookman
  • The Wildcats were picked to finish No. 2 in the MEAC.
  • Returning senior Angel Golden was named MEAC Preseason Player of the Year.
  • Ashanti Hunt and Chasimmie Brown were both named to the MEAC first and second team all-conference listings.
  • Lyndsay Edwards is nominee for the 2018 NCAA Woman of the Year.
